The Nearly Home Trees

This iconic clump of beech trees sit like a crown on top of a small hill near the border of Devon and Cornwall, the county I've lived in for most of my life. They're a much loved beacon right next to the main road into the region for people heading towards home or coming here for their holidays, and I frequently see the phrase "nearly home" accompanying pictures of them on my social media feeds from my friends as they speed past on their journeys.
