Bedruthan in the Pink

On a summer evening in July 2018 we flew home from London to be greeted by a frustratingly beautiful sky as the plane descended into Newquay Airport. It was far too late to get out after landing, but on the following evening I headed up the coast to Bedruthan Steps. Conditions weren't looking at all promising as the sun sank below the horizon. But suddenly the sky went pink!
